WELCOME!
TASAAGA is a Ugandan registered HIV/AIDS non-governmental, non-religious and non-profit organization which is dedicated to preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS and supporting orphaned children. The organisation was formed in 1995 by Mutebi Musa a traditional healer together with 10 women who were HIV/AIDS positive unfortunately 8 of the women have so far died.
VISION: A community free from HIV/AIDS and its effects

These two girls supported by TASAAGA were born with HIV in Sese Islands, both lost their Dads and are now living with their single HIV positive Mothers. (Picture by former volunteer Karin Prescott -USA)
MISSION: To contribute to the process of restoring hope among HIV/AIDS affected people and minimizing behaviours that further the spread of the virus

This client in Ssese Islands lost her husband to HIV/AIDS three years ago who was a fisherman. Apart from being HIV positive, She also shares this one roomed mud and grass hut with her four children. The house leaks whenever it rains and they have to stand in one safe corner in the house until rain stops even if it is at night. She earns 2 dollars per week from helping fishermen to dry their fishing nets. Donate or volunteer to TASAAGA so that she can have a house with space for her and the children. It only costs 2500 USDollar to give this disadvantaged family a house. The goodnews is all the children have always tested HIV free/ negative. All the children go to a government primary school which is free and TASAAGA only gives them scholastic materials like books and pencils.
