Why do we want you to volunteer with us?

Without volunteer support, talent, knowledge, and energy TASAAGA's projects would not be as successful. It is the unique interactions, views and contributions of the volunteers that make TASAAGA what it is today.

Why spend your holiday volunteering with TASAAGA?

women in traditional dress Yes - you could go on a cruise for ten days, sit on a beach sipping cocktails, stay at home to do chores, visit relatives or in-laws... OR for almost the same cost you could visit an exotic African country, known for its beautiful landscape and warm smiles.. and make a difference in an orphans life. You will remember your cruise or the beach for a couple of years, you won't remember your stay at home beyond a year...NOW...if you volunteer with us YOU WILL remember your trip for a LIFETIME!

So - spend $3000 US on a week long cruise that you will forget in two years...OR spend the same amount on three weeks in Uganda reading to orphans, helping KICK HIV/AIDS with Ugandan youth, educate an isolated population about HIV/AIDS, or build a much needed birthing center on a tropical Lake Victorian island...it's your choice.

Still not convinced...read some of our past volunteer testimonials...

Host a dinner/talk for us!

Now why would you want to host a dinner or a stuffy university talk for us when you are there and we are here??? Well if you support our cause, vision, mission, and objectives and you would like to send us a great and much appreciated donation - this makes it easy! Host a dinner, we will send you a powerpoint of the organisation, or a photo slide show of our projects (your choice) so you can show your friends, work co-workers, strangers off the street, fellow students, whom ever...mix the photos with some great food - we can even send you some local dish recipes (if you chose the dinner) and you get instant cash flowing in from your very inspired and satisfied guests. Then all you have to do is send us that donation and we send you a really big thanks!!!

OH - We almost forgot, one of our directors actually lives part time in the US - (traveling through Europe/Middle East to get there) so if you would like, you can invite her to your dinner or talk - she is even better than a slide show! She can actively respond to questions.

Interested??? Contact Us for the hosting package and we will sit back and watch the cash flow in.

Fundraise for Us!

Dinner not your cup of tea - How about this summer you clean out your closets, garage, kids room, and hold a garage/tag/yard sale for us. You sell off all that stuff that has been collecting dust in your basement and we can buy some much needed school/medical supplies.

Negotiate a percentage of profits from a local business: Have a local business offer to donate a percentage of its profits on a specified day (e.g. a local Mexican restaurant could donate 2% of its profits on Cinco de Mayio). Promise the business owner you will get as many people as you can to their business on the specified day.

Write letters (for grants and trusts) to local foundations, organisations, friends, billionaires...

Hold a community or school bake sale - get your family and friends involved!
